Citi in HUF 3 bn expansion of Budapest service centre

Budapest, August 27 (MTI) – Budapest Citi Bank’s Service Center is to create 250 new jobs with a 3 billion forint (EUR 9.6m) expansion using 250 million forints of Hungarian government support.

The government aims to attract as much high value-added innovation, research and service capacity to Hungary as possible, state secretary of foreign affairs and trade Peter Szijjarto told a news conference on Wednesday.

Citi Magyarorszag’s chief Aftab Ahmed said Citi wants to expand its service activity based on the highly-qualified and committed professionals available in Hungary.

Beata Elod, the centre’s head, said the investment would expand service activity in the areas of IT, security, engineering development and financial analysis.
