Conference for Young Researchers was held on in Szent István University
The 3rd International Young Researcher Scientific Conference on “Sustainable Regional Development – Challenges of Space & Society in the 21st Century” Focus on the Challenges of Space & Society in the 21 st Century.
The Enyedi György Doctoral School of Regional Sciences has recently organized the 3rd International Scientific Conference for Young Researchers at Szent István University. Ragif Huseynov, a Ph.D. student of the doctoral school, had initiated this conference series with the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) in 2015.
The latest conference themed as “Sustainable Regional Development – Challenges of Space & Society in the 21st Century” was organized on the 26th of April 2018.
It was organized by students of the Enyedi György Doctoral School of Regional Sciences under the supervision of associate professor Dr. habil Henrietta Nagy and associate professor Dr. habil Khademi-Vidra Anikó. The main objectives of the conference were to encourage young scientific researchers to share knowledge and to contribute to the development of an inter- and multidisciplinary regional perspective. More than 150 participants from 32 different countries participated that scientific forum.
The theme of the certain conference sections concerned the current agricultural trends, circumstances of local communities, contemporary studies on regional competitiveness, the importance of environmental approaches in territorial development and the latest innovations in the field of tourism and marketing. The event was dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
