Counter-terrorism officer accused of stealing valuable items from President Sulyok

According to information reported by a Hungarian media outlet, a counter-terrorism officer from the Counter-Terrorism Centre (TEK) may have stolen valuable books from Sándor Palace, the Hungarian President’s residence in Buda Castle.
President Sulyok was reportedly robbed
Citing 24.hu, the valuable codices were allegedly taken home by an unnamed TEK officer. TEK is Hungary’s elite unit responsible for protecting the prime minister, the president, and other high-ranking state officials, as well as providing security at state events. The officer is also said to have attempted to purchase the codices, although this attempt was unsuccessful.

The Hungarian media outlet reports that the case involves several high-value codices. Journalists contacted the press offices of both TEK and Sándor Palace. Neither issued a denial: TEK stated that it was not authorised to comment, while the police gave a similar response to 24.hu.
