COVID numbers continue to decrease in Hungary

Altogether 83 patients died of a Covid related illness over the past 24 hours, while 3,539 new coronavirus infections were registered, koronavirus.gov.hu said on Wednesday.

So far 6,395,085 people have received a first jab, while 6,170,630 have been double-jabbed. Fully 3,811,803 Hungarians have received a booster shot.

The number of active infections went down to 142,902, while hospitals are treating 3,313 Covid-19 patients, 133 of whom are intubated on a ventilator.

Since the first outbreak, 1,793,120 have been registered with the virus, while 44,134 deaths have been recorded. Fully 1,606,084 people have made a recovery.
