“Happy birthday, Piszti!” David Hasselhoff greeted Hungarian comedian István Dombóvári in a lovely video.

Personalised video

István Dombóvári received a special birthday greeting from a true world star, actor and singer David Hasselhoff. Dombóvári celebrated his 44th birthday on April 30, and the comedian shared on Sunday that a star also greeted him on the occasion.

As we can read in the article of Blikk, the actor said that he knows that the Hungarian comedian learned English through his songs and that he has a one-year-old son. He added that he hopes to meet him at his concert in Vienna in 2023.

“Happy birthday, happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, Piszti, 44,”

David Hasselhoff sings in the lovely video.

“I understand you’re from Hungary, I understand you learned English listening to my songs,”

Hasselhoff continued the video, listing things he has learned about Dombóvári.

“I understand you have a one-year-old son, and I understand you’re thinking about coming to my concert in Vienna in 2023. So hopefully, I will see you there!”

Hasselhoff even hinted at getting the Hungarian comedian backstage at his Vienna concert next year.

To end the video, the former Hollywood celebrity said something that every 44-year-old should know:

“44 is the new 44,”

Hasselhoff joked.

Cameo

According to rtl.hu, the watermark “Cameo” on the video refers to a site called cameo.com. There, you can order personalised videos from celebrities. By David Hasselhoff, for example, a personalised greeting costs HUF 179,000 (EUR 474) for a personal message and HUF 1,256,000 (EUR 3327) for a company message.

Comments

Many people liked the video and expressed their appreciation for the humour of Hasselhoff. However, there were also some people who did not hide their harsh opinion. Many did not understand why the world star still had his Christmas tree standing in the middle of spring.

  • “Happy birthday, “Pisti”! The Hasselhoff family has the Christmas tree standing until Pentecost?”
  • “Happy Birthday! The old man didn’t take down the Christmas tree on the day of the Epiphany.”
  • “If you hadn’t told me who he was, I wouldn’t have recognised him.”
