English edition of Uzbek Poet’s book released in India, highlighting Central Asian literature on the global stage

A new English-language poetry collection by renowned Uzbek poet and member of the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan, Shukhrat Arif, was unveiled in India’s capital, Delhi, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The English-language poetry collection “The Flying Leaf” by renowned Uzbek poet Shukhrat Arif has been published by “VK Global Publications”, marking another milestone in the dynamic cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Uzbekistan and India.
In recent years, bilateral ties between the two countries have been increasingly strengthened across multiple fields, including collaborations between creative unions, publishing houses, and media organizations. The release of Arif’s work in English carries special significance, as it helps to bring contemporary Uzbek literature to a global audience and deepens mutual understanding between the peoples of Uzbekistan and India.
This cultural exchange is particularly meaningful for young people, offering them an opportunity to explore the values, perspectives, and worldviews of their peers across borders through modern poetry. The English translation of Arif’s poems was skillfully rendered by talented Uzbek poet Munira Norova, reflecting the rich linguistic and artistic nuances of the original work.
