EP Elections – Bajnai Calls EP Ballot Milestone In Left’s Renewal

Budapest, May 20 (MTI) – Determining the role that Hungary’s various leftist parties will play in he renewal of opposition politics will also be at stake at the upcoming European parliamentary elections, E-PM list leader Gordon Bajnai said in an interview published in daily Nepszabadsag today.Hungary needs lawmakers in Brussels who, if necessary, stand up for the country’s interest against its government, he said.

He said it was Hungary’s priority interest to improve the utilisation of EU money for development and farming in order to create 300,000 new jobs in the next financial period.

Bajnai expects two candidates to be successful on the party’s list.
