German private theater starts in Budapest

Change language:
When the question arose, what to do in Budapest, only a theater establishment arose. Daniel Dutombe and Jurgen Kramer have great experience in this. They believe: what is possible in the Netherlands and Germany, it is not impossible in Hungary. The German couple is creating a new German private theater as Neue Deutsche Buhne (New German Theater), szinhaz.hu said.
The firs productions yet fully come from Gottingen Hof Theater to the Bethlen Square Theater. On April 14, the well-known German author, Martin Walser’s two-character drama called Die Zimmerschlacht (Massacre in the room) will be played. “Zimmerschlacht is a legendary play in Germany. It is often referred as the German version of the Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” – Jurgen Kramer said. “The play is about what can happen when a couple who had long lived together, suddenly they start being honest with each other. For me, it is often a comical piece, I can laugh about it, but I also see its tragic dimension.”
