Orbán cabinet: Hungary will not take in a single migrant!

Hungary will not implement the EU’s migration pact and will not take in a single migrant, Gergely Gulyás, the head of the Prime Minister’s Office, said at a regular press briefing on Wednesday.
Not a single migrant: Hungary will not implement the migration pact
Gulyás said there will be a European Union summit in Brussels next week, but the interior and justice ministers have already reached a decision on the distribution of migrants, which determines the numbers and capacity for Hungary.
However, Hungary will not implement the migration pact and will not take in a single migrant, the minister said.
The biggest danger of the decision is that this migration mechanism would allow for the unlimited distribution of migrants in the event of a crisis, he said.

However, Hungary will not implement the migration pact and will not take in a single migrant, the minister said.
- Hungary’s 2026 guest worker quota set – and many may be disappointed
Gulyás said Hungary had followed the most democratic procedure on the matter, consulting voters in a referendum, where “the overwhelming majority” rejected the resettlement, so the European Union cannot determine who Hungarians should live with.
Sharply anti-Hungarian EU proposal
In contrast, the Hungarian opposition parties have supported every EU decision, the fine imposed on Hungary as well as the migrant distribution quota, he said.
The minister mentioned another “sharply anti-Hungarian EU proposal,” the RepowerEU, which, he said, was going to further deteriorate the bloc’s competitiveness as it would ban oil and gas imports from Russia from the end of September 2027.
If the proposal is approved, Hungary will challenge it in the EU court, Gulyás said.

According to the EU treaties, all member states have the right to determine its energy mix, and the Russian energy sources are indispensable for Hungary’s energy security, the minister said.
The proposal bypasses unanimity, goes against the basic principles of the EU, and is also an open attack on the policy of regulated household energy prices because if these energy resources have to be obtained from elsewhere, they will be significantly more expensive, he added.
Home energy storage
Gulyás also said the government will roll out a 100 billion forint programme to support home energy storage investments. Homeowners with solar panels may apply for up to 2.5 million forints for 10kW of battery storage, he said. The tender is expected to be called in January next year, he added.
He added that the measure would support the sustainability of the regulated utilities price scheme for households.
Young offender institutions under police control following scandals
n connection with developments at Budapest’s Szőlő Street young offender institute, Gulyás said that facilities “in which young people live under a criminal ruling” will be placed under police control. Gulyás said the government measure concerned five such facilities and would “take effect almost immediately”.
Gulyás said an investigation into the Szőlő Street case led by the prosecutor’s office was under way, suspects have been detained and “several former leaders are being prosecuted”.
Gulyás said the institute was “not a children’s home or orphanage but a prison for juvenile delinquents”, adding that it currently has 57 inmates held there under a court ruling. He said 27 of the inmates have been convicted for robbery, four for sexual assault, three for manslaughter, and two for terrorist activities, while others had been imprisoned for physical violence, burglary, drug trafficking or minor offences.

Hungarians often complain about how corrupt Orban Viktor is – and how he sells Hungary to every foreign bidder.
To those Hungarians I can only say this : come live in The United States, where not only is every aspect of the economy sold to alien interests – so is your land, race, culture, and history.
Having studied Hungarians and Hungary so much in recent years I have come to believe that Hungarians are very very spoiled – and do not realize it!
Your economy may be bad, but, your people and culture are very much intact.
We, not just in the U.S., but, in many western countries, are in sad shape in practically every way.
dont worry about the Hungarian people and culture. very soon hun`garians will be an extinct ethnicity`. just take a look to the curren demographic performance. While i am not supporting the mass migration from asylum seekers, i think that the people that Hungarian government is bringing should be treated in better way. but anyway, im glad selfish Hungarians will go extinct like the dinosaurs!
So true!
Many of my fellow Hungarian’s are blind for it!
One time you are Russian, another American.
Someone has to adjust the settings of this bot. LOL.
😀
Come on, all the brain-dead O.D.S.* sufferers: Explain how this is a bad thing.
You can whine about the wages, about the state of the socialized healthcare, about LGQHDTQWERTYBS, about “corruption,” and so forth and so on, but if the borders are not secure and if you allow your country to be swamped by hordes of illiterate, unwashed, violent third-world flotsam, NONE of those other things matter. Not a single one.
So you know what? I wouldn’t care if Orban himself would come to my house and pick my wallet clean; I’d rather have him in power and be able to walk the streets of Hungary in absolute safety, than cower in my home not daring to go out because some pathetic nondescript Brussels puppet caved to the globalist-socialist-fascist agenda.
Hajra Fidesz!
* Orban Derangement Syndrome, of course.
No one cares about your idiotness Steiner..
The main issue with this government is the corruption that kills the economy and kick away Hungarians from their homes.
Stop spreading your bull#hit all around and go to work for WOLT of FOODPANDA would be way better for humanity.
‘Tis a good thing, Dear Rádzs, that you have it all figured out, and that anyone who does not have your views is an ‘idiotness’ full of ‘bull#hit’.
Your vanity notwithstanding, I’ll give you this : you are very creative with the English language.
With any luck, and some grey in your hair, there will be hope for you yet….
