Far-right Italian PM Giorgia Meloni assures Orbán of cooperation
Italy’s new prime minister, Giorgia Meloni assured Prime Minister Viktor Orbán of her cooperation in a message published on Twitter late on Saturday.
Thanks @PM_ViktorOrban. Ready to cooperate to find common and effective solutions to the economic, energy and security challenges Europe is now facing. Let’s do our best!

The head of the right-wing Brothers of Italy party (FdI), who took her oath on Saturday, was responding to Orbán’s congratulations.
“Thanks, Viktor Orbán! Ready to cooperate to find common and effective solutions to the economic, energy and security challenges Europe is now facing. Let’s do our best,” Giorgia Meloni said in her Twitter message.
The Italian papers reported as major news Orbán’s congratulations to Meloni on the formation of her government, also published on Twitter, in which he called the event a “Big day for the European Right!” above a photo of the two leaders together.
