Fidesz Against Convening Carliamentary Committees over Ukraine Arms Supply Allegations

Budapest, August 17 (MTI) – The ruling Fidesz party does not support the Socialist party’s initiative to convene parliament’s national security and foreign affairs committees over allegations of Hungary supplying military technology to Ukraine, Fidesz told MTI in a statement on today.

Fidesz accused the Socialist party of jeopardising the prestige of the Hungarian parliament over the hoax of a website of dubious origin, already officially denied by the Hungarian foreign ministry.

Two Socialists MPs initiated on Saturday a parliamentary committee hearing of three government ministers over allegations published by Hungarian website hidfo.net and the Russian foreign ministry.

Hungary’s Foreign Ministry resolutely denied on Friday the reports about Hungary supplying military technology to Ukraine.
