Budapest, November 9 (MTI) – Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto held talks with the Kosovan minister for European Union integration in Budapest on Monday, and discussed the western Balkan country’s efforts towards Euro-Atlantic integration, the ministry said in a statement on Monday.

Szijjarto told minister Bekim Collakun that it was in Hungary’s fundamental interest that peace and stability endure in the western Balkans. The fastest road to achieve this is clearly European and Euro-Atlantic integration, so Hungary supports these efforts, the statement said.

Hungary also supports swift and successful talks between Belgrade and Pristina, a key component of stability in the region, it added.
