Terrible mistake! Innocent Hungarian model jailed in Italy for three months

Hungarian model Gréta Gila spent three months in jail in 2019. She was falsely accused of drug dealing, writes hvg.hu. According to the newspaper, another woman was caught with drugs at an airport in Rome and accused the model of being the dealer. The model went to Italy to then fly to Tokyo for a photoshoot. She was arrested in her hotel room and charged with international drug dealing.

Today.it writes about “a nightmare that began one night in March almost three years ago when the police stopped an acquaintance of the model in possession of cocaine at Fiumicino airport.” The news site reported that “while explaining to the police that she is not a drug trafficker, she finds herself locked up in prison in less than two hours.”

Gréta spent 74 days in jail before the authorities said that the accusation was baseless. After another ten months, the model received a letter in which she was informed about the mistake.
