Great success! Hungarian application won the Apple Design Awards for the first time
Apple Design Awards (ADA), the Olympic Games of app developers, is an annual event that celebrates the most outstanding developers regarding their artistry, innovation, ingenuity and technical achievement. Shapr 3D is the first Hungarian app that has been selected as an Apple Design Award winner out of more than 4.5 million apps in the App Store.
Since 1987, Apple announces the most important innovations of the year at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). This year, eight developers were honoured with this exclusive recognition, including Darkroom, a powerful photo and video editor; Looom, an animation interface and Where Cards Fall, an adventure game with spatial puzzles.
So far, only a few European developers from other regions have won this award. In 2020, the Hungarian Shapr3D team was unanimously selected as one of the best product and engineering teams in the world,
said István Csanády, the founder and CEO of Shapr3D to Világgazdaság. On his LinkedIn profile, he explained that he does not care much about fame, awards and other people’s recognition. However, “sometimes recognition arrives from someone whose opinion actually matters. If I were a competitive swimmer and the New York Times called me the best swimmer in the world, I wouldn’t care, but the same recognition from Michael Phelps would mean the world to me”.
Shapr3D is among the world’s leading 3D design apps and it is the perfect software for engineers, industrial designers and architects.
