Health industry programme uses HUF 87 bn so far
The government’s programme aimed at promoting health industry developments (ETP) has so far used a total HUF 87 billion (EUR 23.3m) to assist 57 companies with grants to 83 projects, the finance minister said on Thursday.
Mihály Varga told a meeting of firms involved in the programme that the assisted projects had realised earnings totalling HUF 22.5 billion last year, which “indicates that the markets have confirmed a need for those developments”.
According to the Hungarian finance ministry’s calculations, in future products worth an annual HUF 170-180 billion from these projects will be distributed in Hungary or sold abroad, Varga said.
The health industry developments ETP was launched in 2020.
