Hello Wood installs Pop Up Park for resting, recharging in central Budapest
Hello Wood, an international architecture programme and design studio based in Budapest, has installed wavy wooden slat surfaces for resting and recharging in Budapest’s City Hall Park.
Visitors to the “Pop Up Park” can recline on the wooden surfaces in the shade and plug in their mobile devices for a free recharge.
Hello Wood’s design studio, established in 2013, has brought temporary and mobile installations to a number of big European festivals and events. The studio also partners with the Sziget Festival, a week-long musical extravaganza on an island in the Danube that draws hundreds of thousands of visitors to Budapest each year.
Hello Wood’s workshops aim to promote the construction process as a platform for discussion, innovation and exchanging knowledge, connecting different generations, designers and artists with various cultural, academic and professional backgrounds.
Hello Wood Kft had 241 million forints (EUR 779,134) revenue last year, up from 145 million in the previous year, public records show.
