Here is when Budapest’s famous Christmas Fair will open

The Advent Basilica Christmas Fair is one of the most popular and famous fairs in Hungary’s capital. Furthermore, it is one of the favourites all over Europe. That is supported by the fact that it has already been chosen as Europe’s most beautiful fair twice. The good news is that the organisers did not postpone it due to the energy and economic crisis. It will open its “gates” on 18 November, next Friday.

The Szent István Square will start to celebrate on 18 November in Budapest. The Advent Bazlika Christmas Fair will open then, and the shopkeepers and caterers will receive tourists and visitors until 1 January next year. The fair was selected as Europe’s finest in 2019 for the first time. That success was repeated in 2021 when it was chosen Europe’s best on the voting of the European Best Destinations website.

This year will see almost 100 Hungarian craftsmen among the fair’s exhibitors. Furthermore, there will be concerts, photo exhibitions, light colouring, and gastronomic specialities in Szent István Square between 18 November and 1 January.
