Several traffic restrictions will be in place in central Budapest on Sunday between 6 AM and 6 PM due to a running event, the Budapest Transport Centre (BKK) announced on Thursday via MTI.

On Sunday, the section of FƑvĂĄm Square in front of Corvinus University will be closed to traffic from 6 AM to 6 PM, BKK reported. In addition, SalkahĂĄzi SĂĄra Embankment, Jane Haining Embankment and the Pest lower quay between KözraktĂĄr Street and JĂĄszai Mari Square are expected to be closed from 10 AM to 2 PM. Along the race route, FƑvĂĄm Square, BelgrĂĄd Embankment, IrĂĄnyi Street and MĂĄrcius 15. Square will be closed intermittently and temporarily.

Tram services will also be affected. Trams 2, 2B and 23 are expected to run between Közvågóhíd/Pesterzsébet, Pacsirtatelep/Keleti Railway Station and Boråros Square, as well as between Jåszai Mari Square and Széchenyi Istvån Square from 10:40 AM to 1:40 PM. They will not serve the stops between Boråros Square and Széchenyi Istvån Square.

Trams 47 and 49 will also operate on a modified route during this period, running along the lines of trams 19 and 41 to Batthyány Square. They will not stop at any stops between FƑvám Square and Deák Ferenc Square. The 83 trolleybus and bus 15 will also follow diverted routes on the day, skipping several stops.
