Hungarian business association, Chinese trade agency co-host forum in Budapest
Budapest (MTI) – Hungary’s National Association of Entrepreneurs and Employers (VOSZ) and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) co-hosted a business forum in Budapest on Friday.
A delegation of Hungarian government officials and business representatives from the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region took part in the event.
Zsolt Csutora, the foreign ministry’s deputy state secretary, told the forum that the government’s strategy of opening up to markets in the east had done much to strengthen and broaden Hungary’s ties with China.
Inner Mongolia’s deputy governor said he saw Hungarian and Chinese businessmen as potential strategic partners, adding that a development of regions could boost the bilateral cooperation of businesses.
VOSZ acting chairman Sandor Demjan voiced praise for Inner Mongolia’s role in preserving local tradition, which he said carried an important message for the modern world.
A number of cooperation agreements and declarations of intent were signed at the forum.
