György Matolcsy, the governor of the National Bank of Hungary (NBH), on Tuesday met David Pressmann, the US ambassador to Hungary, to discuss economic, trade and cultural ties between the two countries, NBH said.
The two countries are cooperating in a number of sectors, especially in security, economy, energy and law enforcement, the statement said.
Matolcsy and Pressmann also discussed the economic situation of their countries and opportunities in financial cooperation and other sectors, NBH said.
