Columbia University cooperation
The minister of culture and innovation has discussed opportunities for Hungarian researchers at New York’s Columbia University in developments at Hungarian universities.
After visiting Columbia, Balázs Hankó said the Hungarian delegation had a chance to see the operations of the university, and highlighted its research projects and achievements. They were also given an opportunity to present Hungary’s higher education reform, with special regard to research and innovation. “An agreement has been reached on ways for researchers and students at the New York university to aid the development of Hungarian universities,” the minister said.
During his visit, Hankó delivered a lecture at the New York Young Republican Club, focusing on the achievements of Hungary’s family policy, higher education, innovation, and culture. On Thursday, Hankó is scheduled to meet members of the US administration including Linda McMahon, the US secretary of education.
