Hungarian government to support tourism competitiveness with EUR millions
The Hungarian government is providing HUF 15 billion (EUR 38 million) in subsidies aimed at enhancing the quality of tourism services and boosting the rural tourism economy, the national economy minister said on Tuesday.
The support package is about boosting the competitiveness of Hungarian tourism, Márton Nagy told a press conference.
Catering enterprises in the countryside will get HUF 13 billion in support, while 1 billion will go towards updating tourist information offices. A further HUF 1 billion will be spent on a scheme to preserve live Gypsy music in cafés, he said.
