Hungarian house speaker meets Luxembourg counterpart in Budapest
House Speaker László Kövér on Tuesday met Mars di Bartolomeo, his Luxembourg counterpart, in Parliament, the parliament’s press office said.
The parties discussed challenges regarding the European Union, the press office said.
Hungary strives for balanced, constructive relations with the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Kövér said.
The countries have interests in strengthening intergovernmental, economic and parliamentary ties, he said.
The Hungarian parliament is open to regional cooperation between the Visegrad Group and the Benelux states, Kövér said.
Bartolomeo, who is the first Luxembourg house speaker to visit Hungary,
pledged his commitment to strengthening ties between the two countries’ legislative bodies and their committees.
