Hungarian mother who killed her little boy in Italy to escape prison?

Shocking details emerged from the court trial of a Hungarian mother who killed his little son in Italy. Katalin B., a former porn actress, took the little boy, Alex, with her to Italy last autumn. She did not want to give him back to his father, who temporarily received the child’s custody from the Hungarian court. In Italy, she stabbed the boy to death and sent photos of the lifeless body to her acquaintances and the kid’s father, Norbert Juhász. Finally, she lay the corpse on the conveyor belt of a shop. Now it seems she might escape prison despite her horrible act.

Escaping prison?

According to borsonline.hu, a Hungarian tabloid, the court trial in the case has begun in Italy. The psychiatric examination of the woman will take place at the end of January. If the result will prove that she is mentally unstable, she will not have to go to prison for killing her little son. In that case,

she will receive involuntary psychiatric treatment.

Currently, she is in custody in Italy.

Based on the Hungarian tabloid’s information, the psychiatrists will first talk with Katalin. Then there will be multiple association tests. Though the woman speaks fluent Italian, the court will probably hire a translator for the process. That is important because in such cases,

one word or even a subtle shade of meaning can be of crucial importance. 

According to his father, György, his daughter should not be imprisoned. Katalin’s parents divorced years ago, but they agree that their daughter should not be put behind bars. György added that he would like to hug Katalin. If he had the money, he would travel to Italy to see her, György cleared. “I hope they will cure her, and she will realise what she has done” – he said. Her mother, Erzsébet, still fears for her daughter’s life. She thinks that Katalin will commit suicide if she does not receive special treatment in a hospital.
