Hungarian pro-government daily: NATO is a threat to Hungary
Magyar Nemzet is a Hungarian, right-wing conservative political daily, declaredly pro-government. The portal has called the EU “the most inhuman tyranny” before, now it declared that NATO does not guarantee Hungary’s safety but straight up is a threat to the country.

On Thursday, the portal called the European Union the most inhuman tyranny and evil empire in history. Today, as 444.hu noticed, this sentence appeared in one of their articles:
“NATO does not guarantee our security, it is a threat to Hungary, but also to the whole of Europe.”
According to 444.hu, this is a trend that has been observed for some time in the case of Magyar Nemzet.
What might be the explanation behind these bold statements?
According to the news portal, there are several possible explanations for the statement. One explanation could be that this is just a distraction. There are important things going on in the country, corruption, huge inflation, rising prices, falling living standards. Statements like this are a distraction to public opinion, whether they agree with it or not.
444.hu says another possible explanation could be that the anti-US article is in response to the visit to Budapest a week ago of Samantha Power, an influential figure in US foreign policy. She met with NGO leaders, high school students and independent journalists. A third possible explanation is perhaps the most frightening: maybe ps the possibility of a Moscow-led Commonwealth of Independent States really does exist, and is now being tested by public opinion.
According to the author of the Magyar Nemzet article, Ukraine has become an open dictatorship, where opposition parties and critical media have been banned. What is more, Russia has been provoked into US subversion until Russian President Vladimir Putin was forced to launch the war.
More than 10,000 refugees arrive to Hungary from Ukraine
Fully 5,278 refugees entered Hungary at the Ukraine-Hungary border on Thursday, while 4,940 came to the country via Romania, according to the national police headquarters (Országos Rendőrfőkapitányság, ORFK). Police issued temporary residence permits valid for 30 days to 108 people, ORFK said on Friday.

The Magy.ar Nemzet article and the people who wrote it are really dumb. It seriously damages the Country’s reputation. The comments about NATO are idiotic. Hungary does not have a military that is capable of defending the Country. Keep printing nonsense like this will ensure that Hungary will have no friends left. Not the EU, not NATO, mot the US and not the V4. If these people believe that Russia and China are going to be their friends they have lost their minds.
Who knows Hungarian history, knows that Hungarians can only count on themselves.
And maybe on the Polish. NATO, EU, whatever, both the West and the East easily betreys us, and makes us go through hell just to get a 1% higher return.
Yes, Hungary doesn’t have the necessary military to mount a formidable defense. For now. But I would advise everyone to take a look at how unarmed NATO became, once they sent all their equipment to Ukraine. Even the USA is running low.
So yes, Hungary is not yet strong enough. But NATO is even weaker.
We all know the USA did everything short of war to make the Hungarian government fall. I will say they did use terrorism too, because Hungary also relied in Nord Stream.
And let’s not even talk about the EU, that literally wants to take our right to vote in EU institutions.
The only reason why Hungary’s EU and NATO membership is good, because it makes Western military action diplomatically impossible.

Orban – the DESTRUCTOR of relationships/friendships far outreaching just the European Union, Great Britain & Ireland, the United States of America but Globally, the proud historical brand name of Hungary – ravaged, destroyed and humiliated, by Victor Orban & his Government.
Hungary – abandoned, isolated – the weight of on-going a “Crashing” Economy – the list of DISASTERS established in the name by Victor Orban – it could be said endless.
If those out there who THINK that Hungary can become an “Isolated” country no EU nor NATO and “other” – you will be PROVEN as you are seeing occurring, this country Hungary just being propelled back in time that just ECHOES gives visions and signs – of Hungary pre 1989 back to 1945, under a Communist Government.
WHO are friends of Hungary?

Citizens of Hungary you have are and into the immediate FUTURE, we are being EXPLOITED and ABUSED – by this Orban Government, and they will continue to dig deeper into our pockets – from our taxes – to SURVIVE.
Why do we have to side with the losing power all the time? Throughout recent history, we have made poor political choices and kept losing. We are standing alone in this world, nobody will help us, not Germany, not Russia, not the USA. Instead of uniting as a nation and stand together, we are tearing each other apart over political games played big nations that benefit their their wealthy people. We shouldn’t bow and kiss the rear end of liberal EU politicians by any means, but we shouldn’t cozy up to the most hated dictator either who is fighting a lost war.
