“We Hungarians belong together, here in the heart of Europe, in the Carpathian Basin,” BalĂĄzs HankĂł, the minister of culture and innovation, said on Saturday in SÄcueni (SzekelyhĂd), in north-western Romania, at the starting point of the pilgrimage to Ălmosd in Hungary.
HankĂł participated in the pilgrimage between SÄcueni and Ălmosd, led by Franciscan monk Csaba Böjte, which, by crossing the Romanian-Hungarian border, was intended to symbolise the unity of the Hungarian nation.
The minister gave a welcoming speech for the pilgrimage at the “Love Trail”, which commemorates the love of poet SĂĄndor PetĆfi and JĂșlia Szendrey. HankĂł said that from love comes family, from family children, and from children a future. “And from the many Hungarian families, a nation that will last forever will emerge, because this is our mission.”
