Hungarians ‘not kneeling before Brussels’, says Orbán in France – UPDATE

Hungarians will not kneel before Brussels, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán told an event of the Patriots for Europe party family in Mormant-sur-Vernisson in France on Monday.

“We will not spread our hands and point the finger at Brussels and international law like some losers… We will act,” Orbán said.

Regarding migration, Orbán said: “This is not migration, this is an organised population exchange replacing the cultural foundation of Europe. We Hungarians will not kneel before Brussels but stand with the people and fight for them.”

Meanwhile, Orbán said the European right wing was “under an unprecedented attack of bureaucrats and judges who have never been elected. We will put an end to that. We have made an alliance and we are pushing forward. We Hungarians need your victory because we can’t occupy Brussels without you and can’t remove ourselves from Brussels’s torture chamber,” he said.

Referring to Le Pen, Orbán said:

“You have an excellent leader, you only have to want it and you will succeed.”

‘We don’t want to die for Ukraine’

“We don’t want to die for Ukraine, what’s needed is ceasefire, peace and negotiations, the diplomats taking back control from the generals, PM Orbán told.

Orbán said in his speech broadcast live on public television that “pro-war politicians want us to believe that the war must be continued. I warn you: this war cannot be won, there there is no solution on the battlefield, only the dead, suffering and destruction”.

He said he was from a country that was Ukraine’s neighbour. “We don’t want our sons to return in coffins, we don’t want Afghanistan in our neighbourhood, we don’t want Brussels to introduce military economy on the excuse of the war, we don’t want them to take out gigantic loans, we don’t want them to federalise the money of member states, and we don’t want them to chase our countries into an arms race. I ask you, let’s stop them,” he added.

Hungary ‘Brussels’s nightmare, hope of European patriots’

Hungary is the “black sheep” of the European Union, “the nightmare of Brussels, the hope of European patriots and the outpost of Christians,” PM Orbán told.

“The egg-head Brussels bureaucrats attacking Hungary have no idea what it means to fight for freedom, democracy and the homeland. They should be quiet and get down to work,” he said in the speech broadcast live on news channel M1.

He called Marine Le Pen, the head of France’s National Rally “a friend, a fantastic person, a tireless leader and a brave fighter who never betrays, never abandons anyone and who follows the rules of honour.”

“France must be very rich indeed if it can afford to not make Marine La Pen president,” he said.

Patriots could transform EU within years

Patriots will be in a majority within years and “we will occupy Brussels and transform the entire European Union,” Prime Minister Viktor Orbán told public television on Monday on the occasion of the Patriots for Europe meeting in France.

Orbán, who is also the leader of ruling Fidesz, said that two camps were facing each other in European and western politics: that of globalists and that of sovereigntists or patriots. The former wanted to build a federation, a global government, and wanted to centralise, Orbán said. The other side “loves his home country, does not want to give up his rights, and is willing to cooperate but will not give up national powers, does not want federalism and centralisation,” he added.

Orbán said “we have won in America” but the fight still continued in Europe. Sooner or later the political camps will organise in line with this logic, he added.

Orbán said that currently the federalists, the globalists were in majority but the Patriots’ camp was gradually being organised. He said the current focus point was to coordinate each others’ concepts, programmes, views about Europe and national interests.

“We are currently in that phase; we need no more than one or two years and we will be in majority, we will occupy Brussels and transform the whole of the European Union, and will not allow Brussels bureaucrats to dictate to nation states…” Orbán said.

He said this was also in Hungary’s interest. “Hungary is not able to defend itself alone against Brussels. We need allies, the larger the better. We need to French, because without France we cannot remove Hungary from the rack Brussels.”

Hungary was currently the only country with a member of PfE on government, he said, and expressed proof that other countries would soon elect one.

“Hungary is proof … that the final argument that what we are saying is not just empty talk and hot air, it is not just a dream but reality, a possibility,” he said. “It is possible to pursue a Christian, national, conservative governance, and countries can remain in their own national world, among their own national interests, and they do not have to subordinate themselves to globalist financial, business or political powers,” he added.

In response to a question about whether another PfE member could be expected in the European Council, he said “currently the situation is that the globalists would drown me in a spoonful of water if they could at every council meeting, but they cannot because there also also others that agree with us, and they regularly stand up for Hungary, and I also stand up for them”. A “comradely alliance is being built in Brussels,” he added.
