Hungarians spend more on summer vacations

Budapest, July 30 (MTI) – Spending by Hungarian families vacationing this summer is set to reach 151,000 forints (EUR 490), on average, 28 percent more than last summer, a representative survey by Budapest Bank shows.

About 22 percent of vacationers are spending under 50,000 forints, while 23 percent are spending more than 200,000 forints.

Just under half of Hungarian households are vacationing this summer. Almost one-quarter are spending their holidays at the seaside.
