Hungarians took part in the run honouring the King of Buganda
Globoport.hu reports that the medical mission of the African Hungarian Union and the members of the Kampala HTCC participated in a run in Buganda, among thousands of people, honouring the King.
The race was held in Kampala, in the honour of the 61st birthday of Kabaka Mutebi II, King of Buganda. It started at 8 am (GMT+1) on Sunday, and the members of the Hungarian medical mission, MD. Zita Bagdi, MD. Zsófia Kapi, Attila Gáspár, Bernadett Kovács and Dániel Kovács ran the 5 kilometres together with thousands of participants.
The Hungarians began their work in the area of Buganda when they arrived, so it was rather self-evident to take part in the run. They were also given maps, backpacks and visors, so they started in a nice mood.
Many people, regardless of their age, religion, colour and sexual identity, ran, encouraging each other and hailing the King. Mothers with little children, elder men and women, kids, and even nuns could have been found among the runners. Interestingly, there were women who had never worn sports clothes or trousers, so they put on the jersey while still wearing their traditional costumes.
Unfortunately, an 86 year-old man from the Baganda tribe got ill by the end of the race, but MD Zsófia Kapi helped him. He received first aid, was given some glucose tablets and water, and had some rest, after which his pulse went back to normal. Luckily, he only got exhausted and no other more serious problems occurred.
