Hungary condemns shooting of Russia’s ambassador to Ankara
Budapest, December 19 (MTI) – Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has expressed his condolences to Russian President Vladimir Putin over the fatal shooting of Russia’s ambassador to Ankara. Hungary’s foreign minister has condemned the fatal shooting of Russia’s ambassador.
Orbán offers condolences over shooting of Russia’s ambassador to Ankara
In a letter, Orbán conveyed his condolences to the family of the ambassador and expressed Hungary’s support for Putin and the Russian people.
“Hungary strongly condemns all forms of terrorism and all manifestations of violence,” the prime minister wrote.
Ambassador Andrei Karlov, 62, was on Monday shot by a gunman at an art gallery in Ankara, later succumbing to his injuries. The gunman was shot dead soon after the attack.

This “tragedy” is further proof of the need to tackle all forms of terrorism, Péter Szijjártó said in a statement on Monday.
Szijjártó expressed his condolences to the family of the ambassador and the people of Russia.
