Hungary COVID-19 death toll over 41,000

Altogether 74 patients died of a Covid-related illness in the past 24 hours, while 9,717 new coronavirus infections were registered, koronavirus.gov.hu said on Tuesday.

So far 6,344,089 people have received a first jab, while 6,082,196 have been double-jabbed. In total, 3,560,753 Hungarians have received a booster shot.

The number of active infections has risen to 193,630, while

hospitals are treating 3,115 Covid-19 patients, 177 of whom are intubated on a ventilator.

Since the first outbreak, 1,451,102 have been registered with the virus, while

41,018 deaths have been recorded.

Fully 1,216,454 people have made a recovery.
