Stronger on land, water, and air: Hungary expands military with new river craft!

Hungary’s armed forces are assuming a new capability with special operations river craft, the defence minister said at the handover of the Special Operations Craft – Riverine (SOC-R) in Budapest on Wednesday.
Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky said the acquisition of the river craft added a long-awaited and important capability to the forces “which is continuously developing on land, water and in the air”.

He said “a quiet revolution is unfolding” behind the walls of the barracks, with broad-scale transformation leading to training enhancements and equipment replacements. All types of equipment are being changed and replaced with modern, NATO-compatible equipment with high-tech and digital capabilities, he added.
