Hungary expresses condolences over Grand Mosque fatal accident in Mecca
Budapest, September 12 (MTI) – Hungary on Saturday expressed condolences over the fatal accident that occurred in the Grand Mosque in Mecca.
Hungary expressed sympathy with the victims’ families and voiced hope that the wounded would soon recover, the foreign ministry said in a statement.
It is rather tragic that the accident occurred just a week before the annual Hajj pilgrimage, it said.
At least 87 people died and another 187 were wounded on Friday when a huge crane crashed onto the mosque that was full of worshippers.
