Guest nights at commercial accommodations in Hungary fell by 3.2 percent year on year to 4,419,000 in July, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on Wednesday.
The number of guest nights spent by foreigners dropped by 5.4 percent to 1,884,000 and the number of guest nights spent by domestic travellers was down 1.5 percent at 2,536,000.
Revenue of commercial accommodations increased by 4.7 percent to 62 billion forints (EUR 187m) during the period.
Total revenue per available room (TREVPAR) at hotels rose by 5.6 percent to 27,224 forints, while room rates rose by 6.6 percent to 23,614 forints.
The occupancy rate at hotels fell by a single percentage point to 71.7 percent.
