Hungary and Vietnam join forces: Big moves on taxes and finance ahead

Hungarian and Vietnamese officials have met in Budapest to discuss closer cooperation in the areas of finance and tax matters, the National Economy Ministry said on Friday.

Bence Gerlaki, the state secretary for taxes, commerce and consumer protection, and Botond Besesek, deputy state secretary for tax regulation and accounting, met with Vietnam’s deputy minister of finance Cao Anh Tuan and his delegation.

The sides discussed economic and financial cooperation, including joint steps to crack down on tax evasion, as well as digitalisation and improved tax administration.
