Hungary’s Trade Chief Discusses Israeli Investments With Barak
(MTI) – Hungary’s foreign trade chief held talks in Budapest on Tuesday focusing on economic issues with Ehud Barak, Israel’s former prime minister.
Peter Szijjarto briefed Barak on political and economic developments in Hungary, his press chief said in a statement.
They noted that Israeli businesses have so far invested around 3 billion dollars of working capital in Hungary and they discussed the possibility of increasing this volume. They identified real estate, mechanical engineering and industrial R+D development as prospective sectors for further investment.
Israeli investments in Hungary — about 200-300 million dollars a year — are its largest in central Europe.
