Anonymous (above) talks complete rubbish. It is well known that saunas can kill cold viruses. Cold viruses are coronaviruses. Covid 19 is just a very strong cold virus. It is not like the plague. Personally, I would not use a steam room at this time, although if it is hot enough there should be no significant risk from Covid 19.
Wearing swimwear in saunas, steam rooms and tepidariums has been proven to be counter-productive. There is also a strong argument that thermal spas should have pools where swimsuits are not permitted.
It is good news that some wellness centres ban swimsuits. I hope that this healthy trend continues.
