Internationally successful Hungarian ad about environment protection – VIDEO
Szeretlekmagyarorszag.hu reports that an animated short film produced by WWF Hungary has been awarded in London.
The short film, entitled ‘We are all connected’, received the Wooden Pencil award at the D&AD Awards festival at London. The film was produced by the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest and the White Rabbit advertising agency. Directors Dávid Ringeisen and László Ruska brought their plans to screen with the help of the previously mentioned university and Vertigo Digital.
The setting for the film is quite minimalist: we see a desk with some office supplies on it. However, in this simple setting, a magical origami world comes to life, which presents the most severe issues in the world – such as pollution, deforestation, climate change – via small paper animals and plants.
WWF Hungary’s advertising agency and strategic partner, White Rabbit, produced a two-minute long advertisement using the short film. The ad was meant to be screened at cinemas, this is how ‘We are all connected’ was screened in 784 times in 41 cinemas in Hungary, in the period between March 20th and December 31st 2016.
Alexa Antal, WWF Hungary’s communication director, says that the organisation is tremendously proud of the young directors and their work, trusting that with such a remarkable visual story more people will reconsider what it means to protect the environment.
