According to Blikk, a Hungarian tabloid, the Hungarian Forrest Gump, László Piringer, moved to the United States in 2005, where he tried to earn a living as a musician. Running became part of his life in 2018 after a lifestyle change. Since then, he has raised public attention by completing multiple extreme challenges. In 2021, he ran from Los Angeles to New York in just 78 days. In 2022, he ran for 24 hours on Margaret Island. In 2023, he completed 120 semi-marathons on a treadmill, setting a new Guinness World Record.
In his most recent charity action, he completed 10 marathons in just 5 days under the scorching Florida sun. That is 422 kilometres, 84 kilometres every day. “It was not easy, and I went through many ups and downs. The track I ran on was incredibly hot—30 degrees Celsius, 80% humidity, and not a shred of shade”, he told Blikk. During the five days, he burned approximately 35 thousand calories, while the average for an ordinary man is 2,000.
