Jamie Oliver visited Budapest for the first time, here is what he thinks
The world famous and beloved chef, Jamie Oliver, arrived in Budapest this week. He promoted his new restaurant and admired the Hungarian capital. In the Buda Castle, he talked about the new restaurant and his family, as magyarorszagom.hu reports.
Jamie Oliver
Jamie Oliver became famous as the “naked chef”, and he did not change ever since. He still talks about food and cooking passionately and shares his love towards food with many people. He revealed that he still writes his books by himself and takes the photos personally. Jamie does a lot for improving the children’s nutrition at school and believes that good ingredients are the key to being healthy. In the Buda Castle, he also talked about his precious memories growing up at his family’s restaurant. He finds it interesting that today’s parents do not teach kids how to buy healthy ingredients and cook healthy food. The British chef already has two restaurants in Budapest: one in the Buda Castle and one in the Gozsdu Udvar.
The press conference
Jamie Oliver arrived in Budapest on Wednesday to talk about his new restaurant in the city. After taking selfies with his fans, he let them taste the food he made according to his recipe. He was very friendly and kindly answered any questions that came up. He also told that after his third child was born, his family lives and works together with a Hungarian family. There is such a close relationship between them that they are almost one big family.
Exploring Budapest
Before the press conference, Jamie had time to visit some sights in Budapest. Zsidai Roy was his tour guide in the Buda Castle. Notably, the Zsidai team has been cooperating with the chef for years, and they get on very well. The Zsidai team has experience in promoting Budapest because it has the fantastic Pest-Buda Boutique Hotel in the Buda Castle. Even though Jamie departed from Budapest after one day, he had a chance to taste Hungarian food. One night, he ate chicken pƶrkƶlt for dinner. Furthermore, he found Budapest wonderful and wants to come back to show it to his family. During his stay, he also met the staff of his restaurant, whom he considers his second family. Jamie stated that he loves working with the Hungarians because they are enthusiastic and are very good at cooking.
