Jobbik calls on PM to initiate crisis meeting of parties on migration

Budapest, August 29 (MTI) – The radical nationalist Jobbik party called on Prime Minister Viktor Orban on Saturday to initiate a crisis meeting of parliamentary party leaders and group leaders in connection with the problems caused by migration.

Jobbik spokesman Adam Mirkoczki said Jobbik wants every party to submit proposals “in a more informal atmosphere” and to reach a basic national consensus on the issue.

The party would like the meeting to be held by Wednesday, to precede the extraordinary parliamentary sessions on migration to be held on Thursday and Friday. The crisis meeting would give an opportunity to Orban and the ruling Fidesz to demonstrate that they seriously want to hear other parties’ opinions in the matter, Mirkoczki said.
