Johnny Depp wanted to have dinner at a Spanish restaurant in Budapest this weekend, but there was no room in the tapas bar due to an event, so he couldn’t be seated.

Johnny Depp, the famous Hollywood star mostly known for his leading role in The Pirates of the Caribbean spent the weekend in Budapest. During his stay, he wanted to have dinner in the Spanish tapas bar, Arquitecto Pitpit, located in the Palace District of Pest. However, they were not able to give him a free table because of a wedding, reports streetkitchen.hu.

The restaurant posted a picture of the star since it is part of Arquitecto Pitpit’s policy to only pose with stars who are not guests. “We had quite an exciting week at the Pitpit: first Benedict Cumberbatch dined with us, then Johhny Depp popped in. He only stayed a minute though as we could not seat him – the truth is that there was a wedding, but of course, it is still funny. It is our policy that we do not take pictures of celebrities who are having fun with us, but since Cry-Baby did not eat or drink, we took a small-field soccer team picture with him. We are waiting for you tomorrow!” – they wrote on their Facebook page.

Celebrities are flocking to Budapest

It’s not only Johnny Depp who loves the Hungarian capital. Due to movie shootings or just for a casual weekend getaway, several Hollywood stars have visited Budapest. As we wrote earlier, Academy Awards winner American celebrity actor, Adrien Brody spent his 50th birthday in the Hungarian capital. Brody and his family paid a visit to Rosenstein restaurant for the special occasion.

Benedict Cumberbatch also had dinner at Arquitecto Pitpit

As the restaurant wrote in their Facebook post, the famous British actor, Benedict Cumberbatch has also come by Arquitecto Pitpit for dinner. During his visit, the beauty of the Hungarian State Opera House left a great impression on the actor. Benedict Cumberbatch is currently still in Hungary filming the Netflix series Eric, which is expected to be released in early 2024. Therefore, he might show up in another restaurant in Budapest soon.
