Budapest, September 17 (MTI) – Lajos Kosa, deputy leader of ruling Fidesz, on Thursday morning confirmed press reports that he would replace Antal Rogan as the leader of the party’s parliamentary group as of October 1.
Fidesz will hold a vote at 11 am at a group meeting in Velence in central Hungary, Kosa told public Kossuth radio, adding that he is the only candidate for the post.
Rogan announced on Wednesday that he would leave his post to become the prime minister’s political cabinet chief from October 1.
