Kövér meets Iranian parliamentary official
Budapest, January 21 (MTI) – Speaker of Parliament László Kövér met Mohammed-Hassan Abutorabifard, vice-chairman or the Iranian parliament, for talks in Budapest on Thursday.
According to a statement from the Hungarian parliament’s press office, Kövér referred to the visit as a “symbolic moment in traditional diplomatic ties between the two countries, which could open a new chapter in bilateral cooperation.”
Kövér welcomed the settlement of the dispute between Iran and the West over Iran’s nuclear programme, adding that Hungary would fully prepared to help Iran to “return to the international community in proportion with its significance”.
Parties at the talks spoke highly of the scientific and education cooperation between the two countries and said all business opportunities should be tapped.
