Kyrgyzstan’s foreign minister hold talks in Budapest
Budapest, July 6 (MTI) – Deputy Prime Minister Zsolt Semjén discussed Hungarian-Kyrgyz relations with Erlan Abdyldaev, Kyrgyzstan’s foreign minister, at a meeting in Parliament on Wednesday, the prime minister’s press chief said. Also the Hungarian foreign minister discussed EU-Eurasia relations and bilateral cooperation with Kyrgyz foreign minister.

Semjén said the two countries are looking to continue deepening their ties by signing economic and education cooperation agreements and by setting up an economic mixed committee.
Hungary considers central Asia a key future centre of the global economy and supports advancing cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the European Union, and between the EU and the Eurasian Economic Union.
Abdyldaev expressed his support for Hungary’s foreign policy of opening up to the East, and said his country sees great potential in developing its economic and cultural ties with Hungary.
Hungarian, Kyrgyz foreign ministers hold talks
Szijjártó told a press conference after the meeting that they agreed that maintaining the possibility of a pragmatic cooperation between the EU and the Eurasian Economic Union was important.
He said that the two countries singed a comprehensive cooperation agreement in culture and education. Under the agreement 25 Kyrgyz scholars will begin their studies in Hungary next year and Kyrgyz students will take part in FAO training programmes in Budapest.
Abdyldaev welcomed intensive bilateral relations and emphasised the need of further boosting economic cooperation in future.
