According to delmagyar.hu, nine car dealers began to distribute the new type of Lada cars from Thursday, after the distribution of the car brand was suspended in Hungary in the last 5 years – Istvan Ormos, Managing Director of the importer Lada Hungary announced at the press conference on Wednesday.
The European dealer network has been restarted in Hungary, 1000 car sales are expected in the next year – Fred van Putten, export director of Avtovaz said. He added that foreign sales have only been sporadic in the last 10 years, for example, a German importer sold a couple of pieces of Lada Niva annually.
The Lada factory decided in favor of European market presence because it is the most regulated market. Each new model has a Euro 6 engine and contains the equipment which are mandatory here – the director added.
The new models were presented by Andras Pataki, director of the customer service of Lada Hungary. He stressed that there will be a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty for all models – including the former Niva, which is now marketed under the name 4×4 Classic, with the upper limit of 100 thousand kilometers. The factory and the Hungarian traders guarantee a 6-year warranty against rust-through, delmagyar.hu wrote.
The cheapest is the standard version of Lada Granta Sedan, it costs HUF 2 million. It is been driven by a 1.6, 86-hp Euro 6 engine and it is equipped with – among other things – front power windows, Electronic Stability and Traction Control. The full-extra version costs HUF 3 million. Kalina Hatchback starts from HUF 2.2 million and stops at HUF 3.1 million. The 4×4 SUV with 1.7 engine costs HUF 2.8 million.
