The legendary Scorpions comes to Hungary next summer – videos

Next summer, the legendary Scorpions will once again take to the stage in Hungary. Renowned as one of the most successful hard rock bands of all time, the iconic group will mark their 60th anniversary with a spectacular concert at the MVM Dome on 20 June 2026.

Scorpions in Budapest again

The German band is hitting the road again next year to celebrate six decades filled with chart-topping hits and unforgettable performances. Having played in Hungary numerous times before — their most recent visit was just last year — Scorpions continue to captivate audiences worldwide, Live Nation announced to MTI on Tuesday.

Formed in 1965 by guitarist Rudolf Schenker in Hanover, Scorpions quickly rose to become one of the most acclaimed rock bands in Germany and continental Europe.

With over 100 million albums sold and more than 5,000 concerts under their belt, the band have toured nearly every corner of the globe. Their electrifying performances have lit up stages in Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo, Moscow, Washington, Dubai, Paris, and Berlin, among others. In the United States, numerous celebrated bands such as Smashing Pumpkins, Green Day, Korn, System of a Down, and Queensrÿche have covered Scorpions songs. Their anthem Rock You Like a Hurricane alone has more than 150 recorded versions.

In a historic moment in 1988, Scorpions became the first Western rock band to play five sold-out shows in the then-Soviet Union, staging concerts in Leningrad. They also broke new ground in China and Southeast Asia, becoming the first Western band to perform in many places there.
