LMP not to support Fidesz initiative against migrant quotas
Budapest (MTI) – The opposition LMP party on Saturday said it does not support ruling Fidesz’s initiative against EU migrant quotas.
Fidesz has launched a signature drive to gather support for its policy of opposing European Union mandatory migrant quotas.
Laszlo Keresztes, board member of LMP, told a press conference that exact details and the method of implementation of the quota system are unknown.
Instead of a signature drive, Hungary should enforce its position and interests in Brussels and lobby for conditions acceptable for the country, he said.
