Budapest (MTI) – Gabor Vona, head of radical nationalist Jobbik, said late on Sunday that his party had notched up a significant achievement in the local elections.
Vona said deputies of his party “are now there at all points of the country,” and had come second in 17 counties out of a total of 19. He added that the election had multiplied the number of Jobbik’s mayors.
Vona said he trusted that in the 2018 general election voters would have a choice between Fidesz and Jobbik. He said that Fidesz’s “two-thirds majority will not last forever,” and so Jobbik would start preparing for government.

Gabor Vona was a great politician. One of my prefered at the time. Not the stupid far right of ineducated people. Hungarian and european far right need to become more social and more democratic. Jobbik must focalize interest and social action to public sphere:education, university, social justice, class struggle and other important issues such as anti-corruption,progressive fiscal policies. Jobbik need to become the true alternative to plutocrats,Orban party and to the Left anti national policies. Jobbik has the power and potentiality to be the best far right party of Europe.
