Major delays at popular parcel delivery company in Hungary
The Packeta parcel delivery company has become unreachable, with recent reports indicating a significant slowdown in deliveries and customer service lines going unanswered even after long waits.
Major delays experienced by delivery company customers
According to a report by RTL News, Packeta has been facing increasing operational issues. Numerous complaints have surfaced on the company’s Facebook page, with many customers claiming their packages have not been delivered.
One customer mentioned that their package had been in transit for 19 days between Budapest and Halásztelek (20km apart), with no response to emails or phone calls from the company.
Another dissatisfied customer commented that they waited for over an hour without success to get through to a customer service agent.
Packeta confirmed that the delays may be linked to their recent partnership with Temu, an online marketplace. In response to inquiries from RTL News, the company explained that this agreement led to a surge in parcel volumes. Additionally, unpredictable customs processing times have further slowed deliveries.
Packeta assured that they are working hard to restore normal service levels by expanding the capacity of parcel lockers, extending their network of collection points, and offering temporary weekend deliveries.
A consumer protection expert advised that if customers are waiting for items ordered from an online store, they should reach out to the retailer rather than the delivery service, Index writes.
